Bringing Birmingham together

Xcelerate with Edgbaston will not only offer apprenticeships, career development and skills training within the Compass Group network but also extend its benefits to the broader hospitality industry.

From helping refugees seamlessly transition into the workforce to the action-packed Junior Chef Academy, our collaboration with the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) is designed to create a ripple effect of progressive change in Birmingham communities.

Programmes under our WMCA collaboration

Prison reform

Working with HMP establishments to give employment opportunities to reformed prisoners, we support rehabilitation and help reduce reoffending rates with pathways to meaningful careers.

Refugee employment

In partnership with refugee charities, we empower refugeed individuals with the skills needed to move into the food and hospitality industry - helping facilitate their successful integration into the workforce.

 Junior Chef Academy

Our 10-week Junior Chef Academy gives hands-on experience and mentorship to young people, nurturing the next generation of chefs and gearing up the culinary industry for a vibrant future.

Education providers

By strategically collaborating with education providers, we’re able to equip adults and children with hands-on experience for success in the dynamic culinary and hospitality field.
